Meet Our Mediators: Barbara Ulrichsen, Esq.

Barbara is a partner at Ulrichsen Rosen & Freed LLC. She is qualified as a mediator under R. 1:40 and is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Attorney.

When Barbara serves as an independent mediator, she does not represent either party.  Instead, she acts as a neutral third party and attempts to facilitate a negotiated settlement that is reasonable and satisfactory to both parties. 

Barbara strongly believes that family law matters should be amicably resolved, if at all possible. Her philosophy is founded on her personal observations of the havoc and financial ruin which hotly contested litigation can create. During mediation all communication is kept confidential and Barbara will meet with both parties separately so that everyone has the opportunity to be heard on all issues. This also helps her to identify the obstacles that are preventing a settlement and help the parties overcome them.
